Sweetwater Branch Creek Restoration

This is an Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration plan to stabilize the creek to reduce erosion, especially in the headwater reaches, to thereby reduce sediment transport and accumulation of the sediment in downstream reaches. The proposed plan relies primarily on a series of grade control structures to halt bed degradation, stabilize the upstream reaches of the creek, and restore physical characteristics for the reestablishment of diverse aquatic ecosystems. Invasive/exotic species that occur onsite in selected areas will be removed and native riparian vegetation will be planted in these areas.
